À propos de cette excursion
Discover a completely different side of Costa Rica's South Caribbean rainforest on this Puerto Viejo Night Walk. As darkness settles over the forest, explore the trails with a specialized night guide and search for the fascinating wildlife that becomes active after sunset.
The approximately 1.8-kilometer route travels through both secondary and primary tropical forest. Depending on natural conditions, you may encounter frogs, snakes, lizards, nocturnal insects, owls, and mammals such as kinkajous, coatis, and margays. Costa Rica's famous red-eyed tree frog is another species that may be encountered during the experience.
Equipped with flashlights and accompanied by an experienced guide, you'll learn about the behaviors and adaptations that allow these animals to thrive after dark while experiencing the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night. Wildlife sightings are completely natural and cannot be guaranteed.
