While it’s not close to La Fortuna, there's a direct route connecting the two, making it convenient for those wanting to experience Costa Rica's Caribbean side.
Activities: Cahuita National Park and coral reefs, Punta Uva and Playa Cocles beaches, Jaguar Rescue Center, Vibrant nightlife and local cuisine
Tortuguero National Park
Why Go: Known as the “Amazon of Costa Rica,” Tortuguero offers a network of canals and lush rainforests, making it an excellent destination for eco-tourism and wildlife watching. While it’s not close to La Fortuna, there's a direct route connecting the two, making it convenient for those wanting to experience Costa Rica's northern Caribbean coast.
